Welcome to El Camino Real District UMW! We include the Northern California region from Brentwood in the northeast, to Soledad in the south, to South San Francisco in the northwest.

United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

“El Camino Real,” or “The King’s Highway,” was established in the early 1800’s as a route linking the missions, pueblos, and presidios, from San Diego to Sonoma. Today the route is marked by replicas of mission bells, as it had been in 1915. See more about El Camino Real and the mission bells here.

2016 Leadership Training Events

Saturday, January 30: Concord UMC
Saturday, February 7: Gilroy UMC
We are delighted that Pastor Sunny Ahn will be our keynote speaker in Concord, and Beth Edmonds will be our keynote speaker in Gilroy. They will be talking about human trafficking and what we, as women of faith and United Methodist Women, can do to stop it. After hearing from our keynote speaker, we will break into small groups, either by office held or by interest area, to learn to become transformative leaders who move our world towards God’s kingdom here on earth. Registration will begin at 9:15am, and the program will run from 10am to 12:30pm.

Get the information/registration flyer here.  Registration is due by Jan. 26 for Concord, and Feb. 2 for Gilroy.
